Hiromi Nakatani is a Lecturer in Linguistics and English Education in the Department of Intercultural Communications, School of Human Cultures, The University of Shiga Prefecture, Japan. After working for Odawara city as a junior high school English teacher for 10 years, she obtained a PhD in Literature from Kanazawa University in 2017, specializing in cognitive linguistics and pragmatics. Her current research interests include cognitive typology and foreign language pedagogy.
